NJAPHNA is a statewide professional organization of Public Health Nurses incorporated in 1990.

OUR VISION

Enhanced quality of life for all New Jersey residents through excellence in public health nursing practice and leadership.

OUR MISSION
PRESERVE the one voice of Public Health nursing throughout New Jersey; while PROTECTING residents by PROMOTING & supporting community action, coordinating programs that facilitate preventative health efforts and PREPARING for emergencies.


WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED
Provides Public Health representation on local and state councils and committees
Provides active involvement in the updating of New Jersey public health practice standards and guidelines
Successfully bridges academic theory with public health practice in New Jersey
Promotes a positive image of Public Health Nurses through the annual Public Health Nursing Award
Provides educational activities with continuing nursing education credits on cutting edge topics
Introduces the future of Public Health Nursing
Participates in the annual Public Health Nurse Summit
